Theo thời gian dòng đàn này được Epiphone nâng cấp thêm bộ EQ mang nhãn hiệu E-sonic và Shadow tạo thêm sức mạnh khi cần Plug in .
DR500 MCE là 1 trong 4 cây guitar trong series Masterbilt hiện nay của Epiphone , so với người anh cả EF 500 RCE thì DR500 khiến người chơi thoải mái hơn khi chơi bởi lẻ nó được sinh ra để đệm và cả solo.
